City Winery Philadelphia presents Mister Mann & LD Music Group Presents…Taral Hicks-Dawson’s 50th Birthday Jam Session live on September 21st at 7pm
Star of stage and screen Taral Hicks-Dawson returns to City Winery Philadelphia for what promises to be a soul stirring live music presentation.
For her milestone birthday, the veteran stage performer is slated to deliver classic 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s hits along with a lineup of special friends.
Over the last few decades Hicks-Dawson has earned the respect of music and film fans far and wide. The New York native is widely known for portraying Kisha in the Hype Williams’ directed cult classic “Belly” in addition to her star turn as Jane in the Robert DeNiro helmed ‘Bronx Tale’.
Known for her impressive range, Hicks-Dawson has made a reputation for herself by skillfully covering such icons as Mahalia Jackson, Deniece Williams. Her debut Album This Time Features songs with Missy Elliott and production by Teddy Riley, Narada Micheal Warren The Neptunes to name a few.
Platinum Music Producer and director Loren Dawson along with vocal arranger Stephanie Fisher of Stephy Bloom Music has curated a fire lineup of R&B, Soul, Pop, and Gospel hits for the occasion with some of the baddest vocalists and musicians from the Tri-State area.
The evening will be hosted by Mister Mann Frisby, creator of the wildly popular ‘Mister Mann’s Jam Session’ live music series.
