The "40th Anniversary of the Platinum selling songs "KISS" and "1999" presents this special tribute concert to one of the greatest musical artists of our time. This concert features The outstanding Award Winning singer Johnie Jupiter performing as Prince with dazzling vocals and commanding stage presence that captures the spirit of Prince's electrifying performances.

Johnie Jupiter's Controversy is a Prince musical tribute band born in 2017 out of the mind of Johnie Jupiter.

Its sound takes you back to not only when Purple Rain rule the charts but also gives you the raw power of various Prince live show arrangements.

A miraculous mix of energy, musicianship and pro level entertainment.

Controversy's aim to create a party atmosphere keeping the audience on the edge of their seats wondering what will happen next and hardcore Prince fans smiling when they recognize which version of the song we are playing.

Lead by Johnie Jupiter, a multi-instrumentalist / singer / dancer / songwriter who started playing music at the age of 16 but quickly realized he had a knack for many of the instruments. He keeps the audience following his every move and lord knows what he is gonna do!!!

Along with Jerome Carr: Bass / vocals. Jerome is a industry vet and through years on the circuit has honed his skills sharp enough to cut atoms. His ability to adapt and play/sing/ arrange is invaluable to Controversy. Jerome's motto is (somewhere over in America)

Rick Pepper Holmes: Drums/ Percussion/Vocals: Pepper is the big engine with the big foot.

He is a veteran drummer who not only can keep the pocket but make everyone dance with his feel for funk/soul/pop/and Rock N Roll. His vocals are 2nd to none. You don't just see Pep, You feel him.

Lawarence (Black Surfer) Farmer: Keys/Piano: A master at his craft. Surfer has been on major tours from Mary J Blige to (there is too many to name). His ability to take any composition to the next level is astounding while making it all look easy.

Joe stout: Organ/ Guitar/ Vocals/ personality: Joe is what you would call our utility player he is great multi-instrumentalist along with being a professional sound engineer. His energy is infectious. His playing is so natural and seemingly picks up on everything quickly. . he is the newest member but quickly become an invaluable ally in our quest.

Chris Gordon: Guitar: A virtuoso guitar player who's playing is inexplainable. He's recorded album for many notable artists including fairly recently Bam Margera. Disgusting player!!!

Chris McCord: Guitar/ Vocals: Another virtuoso guitar player with a songwriter’s spirit and soul like you wouldn't believe. His use of space is so tasteful and sweet it will give you a toothache.

Additional members: Raquan Washington, Willie Koot Lemons, AC King, Justin Cropper, Andre Adams.

Controversy not only plays the hits but can satisfy the hardcore fans with authentic versions of deep cuts. When going to a Controversy show be prepared to sing along, dance along and if you're not careful you may end up onstage. THE MUSIC WILL SOUND LIKE YOU ARE AT A PRINCE CONCERT!!!!! THIS IS ROCK N ROLL/ FUNK AND SOUL FOR YOUR EARHOLE!!!!!!
