Why Reusable Bottles?

The production and shipping of bottles accounts for the greatest portion of wine’s carbon footprint and every year 70% of bottles in the US go into landfill according to the EPA. We want to take our tap wine program to the next level by offering guests a way to enjoy our wine off-premise in a more sustainable manner. City Winery was among the first to produce wine on-site in urban settings, and now we want to help bring attention to the ways we can intervene as a business and as individuals to live more sustainably.
