Join us for our wine tastings in Pittsburgh, where our expert winemakers bring wine country to you. By sourcing exceptional grapes from the nation’s top growing regions, we craft remarkable wines at our urban winery. Led by one of our wine professionals, this guided wine tasting will take you through five wines as you explore new flavors, learn what makes each one special, and discover your new favorite pour.
Guided Wine Tastings are offered from 12pm - 6pm on Saturdays & Sundays. Walks-ins are welcome, but reservations are recommended. Please select the "Wine Tasting" dining option when making your reservation in Resy.

Buy any 6+ bottles during Harvest (September and October) and get an exclusive invite to a wine tasting (online or in person) hosted by our winemakers in November. They will guide you through a tasting of our Harvest Half Case.

Harvest Case (12 bottles)
Twelve bottles built for the shift into fall. The case includes two bottles each of Sauvignon Blanc, Lake County, CA 2025; “Rosé is Rosé is Rosé,” Méditerranée, France 2025; and Grenache Reserve “Cuvée Alder Springs,” Mendocino, CA 2023. You’ll also receive one bottle each of Chardonnay Reserve “Cuvée Diamond,” Carmel Valley, CA 2023; Albariño Orange Wine, Lodi, CA 2025; GSM Red Blend “The Rabbit,” Mendocino, CA 2023; Roussanne Reserve “Cuvée Alder Springs,” Mendocino, CA 2024; Syrah “Knitt,” Lake County, CA 2023; and Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve “Cuvée Silverado,” Napa Valley, CA 2021. David LeComte
Chief Winemaker
Born in Tournon in the Northern Rhône, David got his start in the vines at 16, harvesting for the Delas & Fils estate. After a biology degree in Lyon and formal training in viticulture, he worked vintages in the Rhône, then spent two years managing vineyards and harvests in China. He later earned a winemaking master's in Montpellier and worked in Virginia, Long Island, and Southern California before joining Michael Dorf in 2008 to help launch City Winery from the ground up.
Aurélien Gousse
Vineyard Liaison
Raised in a small medieval town in the Loire Valley, Aurélien grew up around his parents' friends' vineyards, where harvest meant celebration as much as work. His curiosity eventually took him to McLaren Vale in South Australia for further wine education. He joined City Winery as a winemaker in 2015, bringing a deep sense of terroir and a playful, creative personality that comes through in his winemaking.
Caroline Schrader
Winemaker, Chicago
An award-winning Illinois winemaker known for hands-on, craft-focused production, Caroline oversees both the West Loop and Chicago Riverwalk locations. Before wine, she was an architect with a master's from the Illinois Institute of Technology. She later studied enology and viticulture at UC Davis and joined City Winery Chicago in 2014. Favorite variety: Pinot Noir.
Travis Van Caster
Winemaker, Hudson Valley
Travis got into wine through a Craigslist ad in Oregon's Willamette Valley in 2007 and was hooked after his first harvest. He studied at five schools across Oregon, France, and New York, graduating from Cornell with a degree in Enology and Viticulture. He then made wine in California for E&J Gallo and Miller Family Wine Company before joining City Winery in 2020.
Michelle Foletta Bell
Winemaker, Nashville
A California native, Michelle started as a professional actor, including national tours and a run at the Grand Ole Opry, before wine became her driving passion. She studied with the Guild of Sommeliers and worked tasting rooms across California wine country before moving to Nashville in 2017 and joining City Winery in 2018. She's known for her whiskey barrel-aged wines.
Tristan Bowling
Winemaker, Atlanta
Raised around the Atlanta food scene thanks to his chef father, Tristan began his wine journey in 2015 and worked harvests at Amici Cellars in Napa and R. Stuart and Co. in the Willamette Valley. In 2019 he joined City Winery Atlanta, working his way up from Tasting Room Associate to Wine Technician to Winemaker.
Bettinelli Vineyards
Napa Valley, California
Bettinelli Vineyards started in 1990. Based in the Oak Knoll area between Napa and Yountville, the company farms hundreds of acres. Owned by fifth generation Napa Valley farms, Bettinelli has been honored by the Napa Valley Grapegrowers organization for their contributions to local wine business and community.
Scopus Vineyards
Sonoma County, California
Farmed by one of California’s most respected vineyard management teams, the Scopus vineyard is 15 acres, all Chardonnay, sitting at roughly 700 feet above sea level, sloping eastward above the town of Glen Ellen in Sonoma County.
Bacigalupi Vineyard
Russian River Valley, California
Bacigalupi Vineyards have been owned and grown by the Bacigalupi family since 1956. The family gained recognition as growers during the 1976 Paris tasting when the 1973 Napa Valley Chardonnay from Château Montelena with Bacigalupi fruit triumphed over many acclaimed French wines to be declared the undisputed winner.
Durant Vineyards
Willamette Valley, Oregon
The family that operates the Durant Vineyards have been farming in the Willamette Valley for over 5 generations. In 1973, they were among the first in Oregon to attempt growing wine grapes in the Dundee Hills, and the area has since grown into one of the most popular terroirs for Pinot Noir in the world.
Uva Blanca Vineyard
Finger Lakes, New York
The Uva Blanca vineyard is nestled at the base of Lake Seneca, in Hector, NY. Known for its signature view, overlooking Seneca Lake, the Uva Blanca vineyard is one of the preeminent growers in the Finger Lakes.
Obsidian Ridge Vineyard
Napa Valley, California
In 1973, Michael Terrien, Peter Molnar, and Arpad Molnar planted a vineyard on an old abandoned walnut orchard high in the Napa Valley. They soon discovered that they were farming on a volcano, on a ridge of solid black Obsidian glass. Today, the extreme climate, altitude, and volcanics result in a cabernet sauvignon like no other.
Windrem Vineyard
Lake County, California
The Windrem Vineyard is located along Kelsey Creek in the Big Valley area of Lake County. The soils are alluvial, well drained and limiting with small rock cobbles from the former creek bed.
Poseidon Vineyard
Napa Carneros, California
Established in 1974, Poseidon Vineyard is the southernmost vineyard in Napa Carneros. Known for producing highly acclaimed wines, this vineyard has produced top scoring wines. Its terroir of gravel and clay, combined with the cool Carneros climate, makes it an ideal site for growing expressive Chardonnay.
Alder Springs Vineyards
Mendocino County, California
Formerly the site of a cattle ranch in far northern Mendocino County, the land that would become Alder Springs Ranch was purchased by Stu Bewley in 1991 after he carefully studied over 40 potential sites. He found the hilly landscape offers nearly perfect growing conditions: bright sun, cool nights, phenomenal low-vigor soils.
