In celebration of the annual events of Summer NAMM and the Chet Atkins Appreciation Society Convention, the 2nd International Guitar Night invites stellar guitarists from around the world to showcase their unique creativity and guitar prowess. Hosted by Certified Guitar Player, John Knowles, the event is guaranteed to entertain and amaze not just guitar fans, but fans of great music of all ages. This is an event not to be missed as this unique gathering of artists will not happen again in Nashville any time soon.
Judith Beckedorf (Germany)
Growing up near Hamburg, Judith discovered her passion for guitar at the age of 14 and for the most part taught herself how to play. She developed an interest in the fingerstyle scene, making a name for herself with a number of successful YouTube videos. Wanting to expand her knowledge and musical skills, she moved to Dresden in 2012 and enrolled at the University of Music Carl-Maria-von-Weber and later at Belmont University in Nashville, TN. Since then she has performed regularly as a solo artist, with the singer Victor Sepulveda and her folk trio "Standard Crow Behavior". Judith is a co-founder of MusiSHEans, a network to support female musicians. Guitar virtuoso Tommy Emmanuel once said to her: "You are a magician!".
Shane Hennessy (Ireland)
Shane Hennessy is a virtuoso fingerstyle guitarist and composer from Carlow, Ireland. His energetic contemporary guitar playing style and his cinematically vivid compositions tie in multiple influences from various world and ethnic music. He has caught the attention of big names like guitar legend Tommy Emmanuel and super-producer Nile Rodgers (CHIC). Achievements to date include a sold-out solo show in The National Concert Hall in Dublin to launch his sophomore album ‘Marrakech’, a headline billing at the Guitar Festival of Ireland, and an appearance at the prestigious Music City Fest in Nashville, Tennessee.
Nikola Stajic (Serbia)
Jazz guitarist Nikola Stajic’s fusion style blends sophisticated traditional Balkan music with jazz harmony and improvisation. He is known for his percussive acoustic fingerstyle and organic use of odd meters. As a young child in Serbia, Stajic taught himself to play guitar, until the age of fourteen when he got accepted to the Stankovic School of Music as a Guitar Jazz Performer. He then was granted full scholarship to the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. He recorded and performed with many well-known artists around the country and won a Guitar Art competition in jazz solo guitar style.
