Six wines (2 bottles each) from City Winery, chosen because they belong next to a grill. Two whites, one Pinot Noir, and three bold reds, two of each, that cover the full arc of a summer gathering. This is not a sampler. It's a host's kit, built around the idea that the wine you bring to a backyard barbecue should be as considered as the food you put on it. Free shipping on every order. Save 20% when you buy the full case.

Free shipping on orders over $175. Flat rate $19 shipping on all other orders. Or, stop by any City Winery location to taste before you buy.

We can ship wines to most US states except AL, AK, AR, DE, HI, KY, MI, MS, RI, SD, and UT. Wine orders should be delivered within 5 business days to locations east of the Mississippi and within 8 business days to other US locations. An adult age 21+ must be present to sign for wine deliveries.

Harmony Drops Chardonnay

Pairs with: grilled seafood, fried artichokes, vegetable risotto, key lime pie, soft goat cheese. Bright acidity and good structure mean this Chardonnay holds its own against rich textures without disappearing into them. Pull it out when the grill has seafood on it — butter-basted scallops, breaded halibut, cod with lemon and herbs. It cuts through richness without competing with the char. Also the right call for a cheese board before the grill fires up. Serve cold and keep a second bottle in the cooler.

Spring St Pinot Noir

Pairs with: kabobs, brats, grilled vegetable crudité, bruschetta, fontina, mozzarella, porchetta. The bottle you open when the coals are still getting going and no one is in a hurry to eat. Easy-drinking without being simple, it's built for lighter barbecue fare and the slow hour before the main event. Lighter cheeses — fontina, marinated mozzarella, provolone — work beautifully here. If you can get your hands on a crispy porchetta with spicy jam, this is the pairing that surprises people who thought they already knew what Pinot Noir was for.

Big City Red Cabernet Sauvignon

Pairs with: pulled pork, Nashville hot chicken, burgers, charcuterie, Camembert. Most Cabernets wait for something fancy. Big City Red thrives on contrast. Salt and structure, bold flavors, food that doesn't hold back. It works alongside a charcuterie board while guests are waiting for the grill, holds up to Nashville hot chicken and pulled pork with pickles, and goes bottle-to-glass when someone just wants a red. This is the wine for the part of the menu that doesn't apologize for itself.

Au Naturel Syrah

Pairs with: lamb gyros, pasta with meatballs, burrata, caprese salad, Szechuan chicken. Syrah with a Mediterranean soul. It wants olive oil, garlic, acid, and char — and it rewards anyone who goes in that direction. Lamb gyros with feta and fresh herbs are the obvious call. A plate of fresh burrata or a caprese salad with good tomatoes gives it room to open up. For a full table moment: pasta with tomato sauce, meatballs, and as much cheese as you're comfortable putting on a plate.

Lake Effect Cabernet Franc

Pairs with: sausage dishes, candied yams, butternut squash, Grana Padano, Manchego. Cabernet Franc that makes everything around it taste more like itself. This is the bottle for the parts of the meal that usually get less thought than they deserve — sausage-cornbread stuffing, candied yams, brown sugar baked butternut squash. Harder, aged cheeses like Grana Padano or Manchego are the right move for a cheese board. It's the bottle that makes guests ask what they're drinking.

Water Tower Sauvignon Blanc

Pairs with: ceviche, tuna poke bowl, green papaya salad, grilled pineapple. Built for heat, acid, and bright flavors. Where the Chardonnay leans into richness, this wine cuts through it. Ceviche, tuna poke bowl with sesame and soy, green papaya salad with fish sauce and lime — dishes with enough acid of their own to need a wine that meets them at the same register. For the grill: grilled pineapple, caramelized on skewers. Serve as cold as it can go.

Step 1: Grape Selection

We carefully select vineyards around the world to supply grapes for our wines. Prior to harvest, we choose our preferred varietals with terroir, weather, and farming practices in mind. The grapes are picked at their peak, and then shipped to each of our local wineries for production.
