2025 Sauvignon Blanc

This is the kind of wine that you could drink after mowing the lawn. It is just so refreshing, crisp and easy-drinking!" Citrus · Refreshing · Mineral. Nestled about 2 miles south of Clear Lake and about 1 mile west of Mt. Konocti, a dormant volcano that towers above the entire region, the Rooster Vineyard sits atop alluvial deposits at an altitude of 1,360 feet — perfect for growing a beautifully balanced Sauvignon Blanc with good maturation and minerality. The grapes are pressed very gently, keeping just juice from the heart of the cycle, then fermented 50 to 60 days in stainless steel tanks at very cool temperatures. Minimally aged and sent to bottle as fresh as possible. Opens with bright grassy and boxwood notes and a ripe passion fruit aroma, very crisp and bright with crunchy acidity, hints of fresh-cut bell pepper, and a long finish reminiscent of fresh squeezed lemonade. Pairs best with ceviche, tuna poke bowl, green papaya salad, or grilled pineapple.

Rosé “Rose is a Rose” 2025

The ‘24 Rosé is a masterful blend of wild strawberries, lychee and fresh-cut flowers on the nose. On the palate you discover complex floral qualities (hibiscus and rose) with sleek minerality and a bold bright finish.

2023 Reserve Grenache “Cuvee Alder Springs”

The nose is a perfumy mix of dried flowers, culinary herbs, frankincense and myrrh, with threads of peppercorn and baking spice.  In the mouth, we find notes of caramel, juicy, muddled berries and butterscotch candies.  The wine is lighter bodied, with a fine grained tannin and present acidity.  The finish is a long, lingering affair with hints of pink peppercorn and strawberries with cream.

2025 Skin-Contact Albariño "Orange Wine"

On the nose, this wine calls to mind all the aromas of Autumn, with aromas of squash blossom, coriander, freshly raked leaves and butterscotch.  This character follows through into the mouth, where it is joined by a thread of juicy, ripe melon and orange peel, with a surprisingly good body that holds together a weighty, yet refined mouthfeel.  The finish is long and mineral / citrus.

2023 KNIT Syrah

This is a dynamic and evolving wine, offering a symphony of complex flavors. On the nose, it reveals smoky blackberry jam, black cherry, cassis, and layers of cocoa, black licorice, and pepper. The palate is fresh and vibrant, underscored by earthy notes of black truffle and crushed rock. Its hallmark balance and minerality shine through, with the rich fruit seamlessly integrated with subtle oak. This depth and harmony preserve the wine's varietal character, making it a standout expression of Syrah.

2021 Cabernet Sauvignon “ Cuvee Silverado”

The nose of this wine is classic Napa Cab - roasted peppers, cocoa nibs, sour cherry jam, stewed plums, and tar.  In the mouth, this wine feel like high quality corduroy - peaks and valleys of grainy tannin, with a soft, velvety weight.  We also see  a few new characters joining the party, with hints of black cherry and vanilla bean.  On its long, drawn out finish, the wine showcases notes of vanilla, raspberry jam and brown spice.
