This red blend crafted by City Winery for Field + Supply is delightfully fruit-forward on the nose, with huge notes of fresh blueberries, cherry pie filling and raisins.  In the mouth, the wine pops with notes of toasty oak, Dr. Pepper spice and raspberry coulis.  The finish is smooth and easy-going.  Full of fun, this wine is sure to be a hit at any party. The Field + Supply event was created by Brad Ford in 2014 in the Hudson Valley, NY. Field + Supply is a modern interpretation of a traditional arts and crafts fair.  It consists of a carefully curated selection of makers highlighting goods, old and new, from a variety of studios and workshops representing a wide range of crafts.

About The Winemaking - Artist Wine Red Blend 2023

These grapes came in bursting with flavor! Destemmed and hand sorted, then fermented to dryness at moderate temperatures on skins, followed by full malo-lactic fermentation and barreled down with a combination of neutral French and American  oak. Just over 12 months on oak until it was released in bottle.

Recommended Pairings - Artist Wine Red Blend 2023

This wine is an easy stand alone as a cocktail wine to get the evening started. It would also pair well with root beer marinated pulled pork, chicken vindaloo or chicken scarpariello. Vegetarians can look toward morel mushrooms in a Sherry wine reduction.  For anyone with a sweet tooth, think of blackberry cobbler or coffee cake.

We carefully select vineyards around the world to supply grapes for our wines. Prior to harvest, we choose our preferred varietals with terroir, weather, and farming practices in mind. The grapes are picked at their peak, and then shipped to each of our local wineries for production.
