Cabernet Sauvignon NYC Big City Red 2023

The nose is a exotic and enticing mix of cassis, sandalwood and black licorice.  In the mouth, we find ripe plums and notes of blackberry cobbler, with a rich mouthfeel that has just enough tannins to give the wine some backbone and a slightly rough, corduroy-denim texture. The finish comes in with a bite and doesn’t let go - lots of fruit leather and vanilla.

Heavily influenced by the nearby Mediterranean Sea and characterized by a warm, dry climate, the Méditerranée region overlaps with Provence and part of the Rhone Valley

This exclusive blend was custom made for City Winery at a partner winery in France after many rounds of tasting and back and forth notes with our US winemakers.  It was then shipped across the ocean in a giant container, where we handled final treatments to the wine and preparation for tap!

This wine works well as a standalone, but it can also stand up to some pretty flashy food!  Pair this wine with a salty pub mix, soft French cheeses (Camembert!), a Nashville hot chicken sandwich, pulled pork and pickles, or an impossible burger with grilled onions, blue cheese and arugula.
