A truly multi-faceted musician, Peter Himmelman is a critically lauded rock troubadour, a Grammy nominated creator of children's music, an Emmy nominated film and television composer, and founder of Big Muse, an organization devoted to the development of innovation and leadership skills.

His work has consistently earned critical accolades. J.D. Considine, in the Rolling Stone Album Guide, called 1989's Synesthesia "a delight", awarding it four stars. Time Magazine heralded Himmelman as one of "the New Troubadours" upon the release of his Epic debut From Strength to Strength, asserting that he writes "songs with the same emphatic edge and aesthetic urgency that impelled the Lost Generation to write novels." USA Today has called him “Rock’s most wildly imaginative performer.” Himmelman is also the winner of six ASCAP film and television awards, six consecutive Parent's Choice Gold Awards, and the NAAPA Album Of The Year. He has made sixteen critically acclaimed recordings

Starting in the mid-90’s Himmelman expanded his musical horizons to score a number of television shows and films, including Judging Amy on CBS, The Fox hit, Bones, and ABC's Men in Trees. He’s made five award-winning children's albums. His latest, My Trampoline, has been chosen as one of the top ten children's recordings of 2011 by USA Today and NPR.

In addition to a new rock recording with his band, Minnesota, Himmelman has begun doing corporate speaking work with his company, Big Muse, about which Tim Westergren, founder of Pandora radio says: "Peter is a rare breed: talented, successful and very generous. His workshops are educational, entertaining and inspiring. Mentors like him hold the keys."
