About:

Most notably known as the First Lady of DC Go-Go’s most influential Band, the Backyard Band (BYB) and " the girl who sang Young Sad and Blue", Lysette Titi is taking her talents as a songstress on the road as a Solo Artist for the second time in her career.  After being noticed by Hip-Pop’s Nikki Minaj on ABC’s “Good Morning America” program, Lysette garnered national recognition as a background vocalist for Nikki’s 2012 “Pink Friday” World Tour, 2011 Victoria Secret Fashion Show and an appearance on BET’s 106 and Park.  In addition, she has been a resident background vocalist for DC’s own Grammy Nominated R&B crooner Raheem DeVaughn, for the past 3+ years.  Thus, with her most recent successes as a background vocalist, it was only a matter of time that Lysette would emerge from background, to embark as a Soloist. " I wanted to write for other artist so I did, but every time I wrote something good, the thought that I wouldn't be heard stopped me from giving the song away ." Lysette began her journey writing and recording music, while teaching herself how to play musical instruments.  A few years later while watching the then popular BET Program “Teen Summit,” which highlighted talented teens in the musical realm, Lysette expressed to her Mom that she wanted to audition for the show. Thus, being from the Washington, DC area where the Program was recorded, her Mom took her to her first audition (in which she made the show and became a regular for the next few years). As a result of “Teen Summit,” Lysette had a chance of a lifetime meeting with then super-Producer Dallas Austin and was ultimately signed to his label by the age of 16.   Having worked with some of the music industry’s top talent such as Nikki Minaj, Dallas Austin, Chucky Thompson, Raheem DeVaughn, Faith and Rodney Jerkins, Lysette has quite a story to tell of her music journey.
