• Charles Hunter General Manager

    Charles Hunter began his journey in the restaurant industry at the young age of seventeen. It was during his early years, starting as a cater waiter at Terrace on the Park in Flushing–Meadows Queens that the seed was first planted and his love for cooking and bringing memorable experiences to patrons, began to blossom. From there he went on to fulfill the position of maître d with Dante’s Catering. After attending Hunter College, Charles found himself working on Wall Street but after a few short years, responded to his desire and made his way back to the restaurant industry. Barbara Smith sought Charles out for the opening of B. Smith’s Sag Harbor. After running Sag Harbor for a few years, Charles went on to open the Restaurant Row location of B. Smith’s. Over the years, Charles has gone on to lead several establishments in the capacity of General Manager / Managing Partner. Although Charles believes in giving his Chef the room to flourish, he remains passionate about cooking and continues to do so on a regular basis, in his free time. Completely immersed in the work of creating a great experience, Charles values the opportunity to be able to step back and witness the positive affect his work and contributions has on the guests at his table.

  • Chef Jason Gorman Executive Chef

    Chef Jason Gorman is a passionate clean food advocate. A James Beard semi-finalist for Best Chef Midwest region. Born in Chicago and raised in the kitchens in the south. His unique culinary style draws inspiration from his Italian heritage, personal experiences and classical training from some of America’s best chefs. His cuisine has garnered praise from local and national publications such as FOOD ARTS, Santé Magazine, Nation’s Restaurant News, The Dallas Morning News, Texas Monthly, The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, M Magazine and Milwaukee Magazine. Chef Gorman has helmed some of the region’s top kitchens; The Milwaukee Art Museum, The Art Institute of Chicago, The Iron Horse Hotel and Dream Dance Restaurant. Under his direction as the chef of Dream Dance, the restaurant was recognized by the AAA Four Diamond Award from 2005 to 2011. And in 2006 Gorman received Santé magazine’s Most Innovative Cuisine Award for the region. In addition to multiple four star ratings local writers had this to say about Gorman’s cuisine; “Chef Jason is cooking the freshest and most creative cuisine in the city,” “Chef Jason Gorman may be the state's best culinary artist, creating cuisine in a most unlikely location that puts Wisconsin on the national culinary map.” In 2009, The Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board recognized Gorman’s commitment to local cuisine by appointing him as a Wisconsin Cheese Ambassador.   • Michael Bishop Program Director

    Michael grew up in New England with a passion for the art of music and food. He pursued his love of culinary and became a Sous Chef early in his career. Eventually he realized he wanted to wear jeans and a black hoodie to work everyday so he quickly changed gears and pursued a career in music. Michael graduated from Northeastern University with a degree in Music Industry. He’s worked at venues throughout Boston and Philadelphia booking local talent and upcoming artists. Michael is excited to be working at City Winery, being able to book talent in both the Main Concert Venue and Haymarket Lounge. Fun fact: his favorite holiday is April Fool’s Day and had the opportunity to tour internationally while he was managing a band.

  • Thomas Fallon Service Director

    Tom began his hospitality career with Omni Hotels after graduating with a degree in Business Administration. After growing through the ranks at the Omni New Haven property, Tom moved to Boston in search of new challenges for his career. Drawn to the unique concept of City Winery, his love for music, and desire to learn more about the world of wine he joined the team as Venue Director in September of 2018. Tom works to refine his delivery of aggressive hospitality on a daily basis and always strives to make a difference in those he leads and the organization he dedicates his service to. In his spare time Tom enjoys watching and playing sports, experiencing all types of food and beverage, and spending time with family and friends.

  • Nicholas Angelo Technical Director and Production Manager

    Nicholas is a Rock & Dubstep enthusiast with an impeccable ear when it comes to sound. Having been on the road as bassist with the Nationally acclaimed Hard Rock band Lansdowne, Nicholas has the experience of the road and understands the importance of GREAT sound and how it affects a performance. In recent years, Nicholas has jumped on the DJ circuit and has performed at places such as Foxwoods Resort Casino, Royale Boston, countless events and pop ups at locations such as ALL Saints, and Rag & Bone on Newbury St, and Laugh Boston. Nicholas has been the go-to Engineer & musician since his teenage years in all his circles. In academia, he attended Berklee College of Music and studied Performance and Songwriting while working as Stage Hand and Audio Engineer in the corporate field gaining vasts amounts of knowledge on the ins and outs of running a great event from the Tech end. When not sculpting sound waves, Nicholas enjoys his free time attending shows, relaxing on the water, studying Martial Arts, snowboarding and reading.

    Growing up in Boston, David knew a few things well: music, food, and design. Influenced by his parents, both musicians, he began pursuing music himself. This eventually led to graphic design. Locals from his community asked him to design their apparel for their bands which inspired David's love for his work. He went from working in his basement to receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design. All of this has led him to where he is today: the City Winery team.

  • Kevin Sears Business Manager

    Kevin graduated from the College of Charleston with a degree in Finance. After graduation, Kevin pursued his love of winter sports by living/working in Colorado & Vermont during the winter seasons. In the off seasons, he worked in sales & hospitality down on the Cape. Kevin has experience working in the financial services industry holding positions at hedge funds and brokerage firms before joining the City Winery team. Kevin joined our box office at the end of 2017 before quickly getting promoted to Business Manager for his hard work and exemplary skill set. In his free time, Kevin loves to spend his time outdoors, whether it’s pursuing hobbies such as skiing, golfing and fishing or just enjoying a live show with a nice glass of wine.

  • Max Puglisi Venue Floor Manager

    Johnson @ the Crossroads of Entertainment and Hospitality. A graduate of Syracuse University's Music & Entertainment Industries Program, Max has developed his expertise in venue management by combining concert production skills with his lifelong experience and passion for restaurant operations. He spent three years after college working with the growing arts, culinary, and entrepreneurial communities of Syracuse, NY to create and build multiple concert series that centered around the convergence of live music, artisan food, and craft beverage. In 2017, he found sanctuary for his skills at City Winery in New York City and spent the year sharpening his management ability of event operations in music and dining. He is a recent transplant to Boston and looks forward getting our new CW house rocking!

  • Andrea Bergner Beverage Director

    Hailing from Massachusetts, Andrea has an extensive background in hospitality in addition to having a Bachelor’s Degree in Marine Biology and a minor in Voice. What started out as a survival job to support her acting and music career became a passion for the restaurant and wine industry. She eventually took her work from land to sea, joining Entertainment Cruises New York and then in Boston. In addition to shaping new products and services, she made her mark by continuously improving quality, cost, and guest experiences. She was named National Restaurant Manager of the Year by EC in 2011. In October of 2018, Andrea completed the CMS Level 2 Certified Exam and is now a Certified Sommelier. Andrea is excited to be part of the City Winery team, where she finally gets to blend her love of music and wine on a daily basis. In her spare time she loves spending time with her family, singing, playing the piano, and just enjoying the quiet moments.

  • Mike D'Angelo Concert Manager

    Mike D'Angelo comes to City Winery with a background as a producer, performer, and illustrator. With a background in fine art, theater, and punk rock. He is well known in the Boston art's scene as the producer and creator of a long standing production that he hosts, produces, art directs, writes, and also designs for. He's been known to not only star in his own show, but to wrangle a full cast of actors, a swinging band, and a team of dancers- at venues all over the Boston area. He is thrilled to bring his experience as a performer and producer to the City Winery venue. Mike is a high energy guy who is excited to showcase his brand of hospitality to artists from all over the world. Mike's passion lies in helping to facilitate show stopping productions and he loves working with both artists and crew to make a show the best it can be. When he's not making things run behind the scenes at City Winery, or hosting his 70's style game show in his full polyester glory, he enjoys spending time with his wife, son, and their dogs. He hopes that visiting and local artists join him at City Winery, where he's proud to offer the utmost hospitality for performers.
