The Skyline Sessions in the Lounge at City Winery Nashville is a recurring live music series celebrating songwriters and performers in one of the most intimate listening rooms in Nashville. The Skyline Sessions is not genre-specific and features all different styles of music. Our upstairs Lounge patios offer incredible views of the downtown Nashville skyline... a perfect space to enjoy the City Winery experience before or after the show! The Lounge also offers the same incredible menu as our main concert venue, including our revolutionary house-made wine on tap and extensive 400+ wine list!

On Wednesday December 18th we will present The Cosmic Collective, and Nicole Boggs and the Reel.

The Cosmic Collective

The Cosmic Collective is a transmuting ensemble of jazz musicians anchored on multi-instrumentalist bandleaders nikki elias and tyler enslow. The group’s effervescent chemistry evolves from performance to performance contingent upon the accompanying star sidemen, making each show a truly unforgettable, unique, and personal experience.

A brilliant constellation in the Nashville sky, the cosmic collective has been featured on Greg Pogue’s ACME Radio Nashville Jazz Show, headlined the Murfreesboro Jazzfest, and frequently performs at Rudy’s Jazz Room and Gray’s on Main, among various other local venues. This exposure along with the group’s effortless blend of high-caliber musicianship and bona fide performances secured the cosmic collective a prominence within the greater Nashville area which merited the group a Nashville Industry Music Award (NIMA) nomination for “Best Jazz Group” in 2018.

Having established strong roots in the Nashville jazz scene, the cosmic collective continues to expand its horizons with alacrity, headlining the Garden Gate Jazz Festival in Huntingburg, Indiana, performing as the house band for Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island, Michigan, and periodically partnering with distinguished artists such as Derrek Phillips, Don Aliquo, Paul Horton, and Victor Wooten on the stage. In the recording studio the group also boasts impressive pairings with renowned artists Doug Mosher, Jonathan Rogerson, and Matt Endahl, even collaborating with saxophonist Jeff Coffin on their debut eclectic electric jazz album, Abstract Notions.

Nicole Boggs and the Reel

Nicole Boggs & The Reel are dedicated to living the story and telling the truth. The perfect storm of determined intellect, musical prowess, and reckless rebellion, the Soul/Rock outfit fearlessly addresses the process of making a mess, falling apart, and starting over. The cast of characters consists of singer-songwriter Nicole Boggs (The Four on Fox,) guitarists/songwriters Alex Kramer (Jason Derulo) and Sam Gyllenhaal, bassist Loren D. Clark (LeAnn Rimes,) and drummer Terence F. Clark (Robert Cray Band.)

Hailing from Denver, CO Boggs brought her earthy honesty and soulful voice to Nashville in 2011. Almost a decade and a few solo albums into the 10 year town  she finally found home in this band of Memphis and Nashville natives. With backgrounds and experiences as varied as they come, and inspirations ranging from classic soul to 70’s rock n’ roll the members of the Reel share one common thread-they all grew up in a musical family. For Nicole Boggs & The Reel making music is a family affair complete with inside jokes, unwavering support and the occasional bickering. Love for each other and a passion for connecting people bind this group of misfits together.

Their powers combined ignite a song-first collaborative approach backed by laughter and the love of a good groove. A defiant refusal to be boxed in combined with a near religious devotion to constantly pushing and refining craft has allowed them to emerge as the one thing that the machine can never produce and rarely recognizes: a true original. Their debut album “Scenes From Last Year” is available everywhere now. Reel music for Reel people.
