SARAH CLANTON’S SPEAKEASY POP’ICANA SHOW IS A CELLO-BRATION OF THE UNEXPECTED. This Nashville based singer-songwriter blends flashes of the classically-trained pop sensibility of Regina Spektor and the sultry jazzitude of Amy Winehouse together in what Clanton calls a “cello-bration” in a one-of-kind musical approach.
Izzy (Izzy Jeffery) was born February 2000 in Fort Worth Texas. From the start of the mill, she began immersing herself into a world of folk & Americana roots which fascinated her to an inseparable obsession. The percussive and intricate manner in which she handles her guitar has been enticing rooms since she first began hitting the stage a couple years back. Fort Worth Weekly nominated her in the Best Female Vocal Performance, Americana Roots Rock, Folk Singer Songwriter categories and awarded her in the Best Female Vocal Performance in the 2019 Music Ballad awards. Now travelling around as a one woman band with a kick drum, tambourine and a raspy folk-driven voice, she is gradually making her way through the scene, collaborating/setting the stage for various artists such as 10,000 Maniacs, Crystal Bowersox, and Radney Foster. She is currently working on a full-length studio album in Tennessee, where she currently resides, and is actively prepping for a 2020 Summer tour.
The Rivalry is comprised of sisters Haley Powers (guitar and vocals) and Molly Powers(vocals) who were born on the Central Coast of California to musician parents. The two spent their childhoods surrounded by bluegrass, country, and classic rock -- genres that continue to influence their music today -- although they have a soft spot for early 2000s pop.
Haley went on to learn the electric and acoustic guitar, and in addition to running a successful blog and Instagram account, has played for several touring acts and local Nashville musicians. She has also represented NAMM as an official social media collaborator, spoke at Worship Leader Conference 2018, blogged for Wampler pedals, and has partnered with brands like Taylor, Eventide, Orangewood, Rivolta, and others. In 2018, the sisters decided to combine their talents to form the Rivalry. Blending mesmerising harmonies and upbeat energies, the Rivalry bring a unique sound and fresh take to all of their music, whether that is a bluegrass-inspired cover of Pat Benetar’s “Heartbreaker,” or a chill pop original.
