Join us August 28 for an end-of-summer celebration with Champagne and Oysters!  Learn all about how champagne is made, how oysters are farmed, and why these two things pair so perfectly together! Sure, you may know a little about terroir, but how much do you know about merroir? Leading the class will be Lindsay Howard former Wine Director and current Sales Manager at Island Creek Oysters.   This will be a fun and educational evening with freshly shucked oysters and delicious champagne. 
Included in the ticket price is a sampling of three different types of oysters, champagne pairings, and assorted small bites.
A little about Lindsay:

Lindsay Howard, the Boston Sales Rep for ICO, hails from North Carolina where she lived and breathed good ol' southern hospitality and coastal cuisine. Lindsay moved to Boston to receive her Masters Degree in Gastronomy from Boston University, where she focused on wine, food anthropology, and small food businesses. After receiving her Level 2 Sommelier Certification, she became the Wine Director of Island Creek Oyster Bar after being a server and managing full time. Wine and oysters have so many similarities that working at the farm was an easy and exciting transition! After 10 years in restaurants, sharing stories tableside, she now gets to talk to Chefs all over Boston about Island Creek Oysters and the other farmers they support.
