A family affair with musical direction by Loren Dawson featuring Taral Hicks and special guest Alijah Kai

For nearly four decades Tichina Arnold has blessed the screen and stage with her uniquely wicked sense of humor and unequivocal devotion to the arts. Of course she is beloved by millions for her iconic television roles such as Pam on ‘Martin’, Rochelle on ‘Everybody Hates Chris’, Cassie Calloway on ‘Survivor’s Remorse’, and now as Tina Butler on CBS ‘The Neighborhood’. The Queens, NY native also enjoys a reputation for her impeccable vocal gifts. 

America was first introduced to her singing chops in the 1986 smash hit film, ‘Little Shop of Horrors’ where she portrayed chorus girl Crystal. Since that time, the three-time NAACP Image Award recipient and melanin goddess has blazed a trail in Hollywood and beyond. 

Friday October 13th will be a family affair for Arnold who is bringing her loved ones center stage at City Winery Philadelphia. The singer will be backed by her cousin Loren Dawson, a highly respected industry veteran who will serve as music director for this special event. 

Dawson’s wife Taral Hicks-Dawson (Belly, A Bronx Tale) will bring her signature amazing vocal range to what is sure to be an epic set. Rounding out ‘The Tribe’ will be none other than rising star Alijah Kai, daughter of Arnold and Grammy nominated Philly music producer/songwriter Carvin Haggins.
