Honey golden hue. Lifted, effusive nose of pear puree, honey, orange blossom, and yellow plum. Finely balanced mouthfeel is bright and fresh, velvety. Stone fruit flavor guides that mouthfeel with gentle hints of citrus candy.
This vineyard owes more than just its signature views to Seneca Lake, as the rootstock comes from Hermann Wiemer, one of the area's most prominent Riesling producers. With plantings extending to the shore, the moderating effects of the 600-foot deep lake create a micro-climate that generates superb Riesling grapes in this this cool-climate AVA.
Grape picked early October and freeze in cold storage, Crop have been pressed frozen with our basket press , this technique is called “cryo-extraction” (mimicking the “ice wine” method) follow by cold temperature fermentation (3 months) in an oak barrel, no malo-lactic fermentation. 140g/L residual sugar.

We source our grapes from some of the nest vineyards in the U.S. Our winemaker personally visits each of our partner vineyards during the year & selects City Winery blocks based on his knowledge and each vintage’s unique characteristics.We have two harvests each year: Our Spring Crush includes grapes from Southern Hemisphere countries such as Chile & Argentina and our Fall Crush features grapes from California, Oregon, Washington & New York State Finger Lakes Region (and soon will include France).
