Paula Cole, in a career spanning 20+ years, has released eight acclaimed albums, most recently “Ballads," a collection of American jazz and folk classics. A Grammy winner and seven-time Grammy nominee, Paula continues to compose, record and perform heartfelt and meaningful music that defies categorization. Between tours and recordings albums, she is now a Professor at her alma mater, Berklee College of Music.
Dan Bern is one of the great folk artists of his generation. A prolific songwriter, he has released over two dozen albums, EPs and live recordings since 1997. His songs are provocative, funny and topical, with an unassuming tip of the hat to the spirits of Woody Guthrie , John Cash, and Bob Dylan, all while sounding thoroughly original and contemporary.
James Maddock has built an acclaimed musical legacy on humbly honoring purity of expression. Many albums in his beloved catalog are elegantly spare, conveying his sentiments in the most direct possible way. As as interpreter of songs, he brings his exhilarating, soulful energy and distinctive sound to everything he covers.
The Kennedys, Pete and Maura, recently celebrated their 20th anniversary together as a married couple and recording/touring duo. With their soaring harmonies and uplifting songs, they have carved out a unique place for themselves as beloved artists in the folk-rock community.
The Prop Men are a powerhouse trio of acclaimed musicians and vocalists — Rich Pagano, Jack Petruzzelli (both founding members of the Fab Faux) and Jim Boggia.
The Bluebirds of Paradise, acclaimed singer-songwriters Chrissi Poland and Ari Hest, share a mutual love of duet singing. Chrissi has performed with Lady Gaga, Bette Midler, Smokey Robinson, Mavis Staples and many other greats. Ari recently recorded a Grammy-nominated duets albums with Judy Collins.
Theatre Within is a grassroots non-profit providing ongoing free workshops in songwriting, art and meditation for the NY-metro cancer community at Gilda’s Club, NYC. The organization is best known for its Annual John Lennon Tribute charity concert, now in its 38th year.
