Built in 1813, the Montgomery Worsted Mills was founded by Arthur Patchett and William Crabtree on the banks of the Walkill River in Montgomery, NY. Its original function was a textile mill, and much of the old equipment has been preserved and integrated into the current design. After a fire burned down the mill in 1890, it was rebuilt in 1892 and still stands today.
