Domaine Glinavos is one of the first boutique wineries to emerge in Greece in the 1970s which was solely committed to quality production wine. Lefteris Glinavos is an iconic vigneron of Greece, trained in Bordeaux, and responsible for the single-handed resuscitation of the mountainous appellation of the Zitsa.

Kamara Estate is a new producer in Macedonia, just outside of Greece's 2nd largest city of Thessaloniki. They are natural wine producers, focused on non-interventionist winemaking, permaculture agriculture, and have a small family farm. Their wines are featured in the RAW WINE Fair and are part and parcel of the greater natural wine movement worldwide.

Winemaking and wine culture in Greece share an illustrious history that goes back thousands of years, evidenced by ancient winemaking artifacts that have been uncovered by archeologists and the impressive stone sculptures of Dionysus, the passionately revered god of wine. The Greek climate’s winning combination of ample sun, minimum rainfall and abundant poor soil sets the stage for the serious growing of quality wine grapes, while the regions indigenous grape varieties allow the wines to be some of the world’s most unique and interesting.

Today’s winemakers in Greece, with a nod to antiquity, are blending the use of the country’s indigenous varieties with modern winemaking technology to create wines that are not only memorably unique but also elegant and refined, with quality being at an all-time high in the region. In short, when it comes to wine, today’s Greece in in a period of enthusiasm, reinvention and experimentation, and thus far to great success.

Everyone who attends a dinner will be entered into this sweepstakes, and will have the opportunity to win! Again, the drawing of final winner name will take place at the conclusion of the series of dinner in 2019. This will include the possibility to win 2 roundtrip tickets to any international destination that American Airlines services.
