Out of an abundance of caution, and in keeping with official local health guidelines:
- All guests are required to complete a contactless temperature check and wellness questionnaire (we take this, too) prior to entering our venue. Also, we require all patrons to wear a mask or face covering when entering and moving throughout public areas. You're welcome to take off your mask at your table.
- We are no longer seating unaffiliated parties at the same table. As such, tickets for this show will be sold in quantities of 2, 4 or 6 - select the appropriate group size for you and your companions. Please email our Concierge team if you would like to sit with another party that has tickets and we will do our best to accommodate, subject to availability. All requests must be made no later than 48 hours in advance of the show.
Since 2004, Bonaparte’s Retreat has been saving Nashville’s shelter dogs. Founded by Grammy-winning singer/songwriter Emmylou Harris, we are a small, foster-based 501(c)3 nonprofit dog rescue organization. Our focus is rescuing the neglected and forgotten—senior dogs, large dogs, special needs dogs, or dogs in need of imminent medical care or surgery. Our mission is to love and care for these wonderful animals for as long as it takes to find their forever homes.
Named for one of Emmylou’s own dogs, Bonaparte traveled on the road with Emmylou for ten years and was her constant companion. When he died suddenly in 2002, Emmylou was heartbroken. But her personal loss became the genesis of something remarkable when she founded Bonaparte’s Retreat to honor the memory of her beloved companion.
The first private animal rescue group to partner with Metro Nashville Animal Care & Control, Bonaparte’s Retreat continues to focus on the shelter dogs often overlooked or deemed unadoptable. To date, Bonaparte’s Retreat has saved over 400 dogs and adopted them into permanent and loving homes.
We host “meet and greet” adoption events throughout the year, which are advertised on our website and social media (Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter). And we participate in community-wide special adoption events. As a Network Partner with Best Friends Animal Society, we take part in its adoption promotions annually, all of which offer reduced- or waived-adoption fees.
Caring For Humans & Animals
Love heals, and powerful life lessons can be learned through caring for others. This concept is at the heart of all that we do at Crossroads Campus. We have a deep love and appreciation for two-legged and four-legged members of our community and work hard to better the lives of both through the healing power of the human-animal bond.
BRINGING HOPE AND PROMOTING POSITIVE CHANGE
Any day of the week, you can find those of us at Crossroads working hard to transform the lives of people and animals. Through our programs, we strive to:
Enhance empathy and compassion for all living things through positive interactions with animals
Educate and empower people to take care of their pets
Find loving homes for dogs & cats
Offer paid job-training internships to young adults who lack the connections and experience needed to break into the workforce
Provide affordable housing for young adults on the brink of homelessness; offering stability, safety and community to those who need it most.
Operate a social enterprise that offers high quality pet products and grooming services for consumers looking to make a “purchase with a purpose”
