Mark Van denBerge has been performing the "role" of Van Morrison on big stages since 2011, often times with symphony orchestras as his backing band.

This is your chance to see incredibly real renditions of Moondance, Brown-eyed Girl, Into the Mystic and other  "greatest hits" of the iconic singer-songwriter up close in the intimate vibe of the City Winery. Nashville has seen Van Morrison here with brief tour stops supporting recent releases.  But get ready to be funked-up by a hit parade of Van's rarely done earlier works backed by some of Nashville's "bad-est" session talent (Aaron Smith, Bo Clayton, Andy Robinson, Josh Rosen) and Sweet Fever, an up and coming newer band, all bringing the passion that's required for the Soul-man's catalog.

Sir Van Morrison was knighted by the Queen of England in early 2016, and the next year he was inducted into the Americana Hall of Fame here in 2017, where he headlined the festival.  Since the inception of popuilar music in the Sixties, Van has had a deep influence upon the careers of many other iconic bands such as Bruce Springsteen, Jimmy Buffet, Bob Seger etc and has been covered by hundreds more.   He has recorded over 40 albums and rumors have it that there may be another one soon pairing him with Willie Nelson. The basis for a Van Tribute is obvious to all on both sides of the Atlantic.

Mark Van denBerge is a trained singer who left the classical world to follow the muse of bringing out the profound musical influences of Sir Van in concerts like this one.  Mark's theater style production called "When The Blues Left America" is undergoing further developments and set for release in 2020. Mark is also appeared with a star-studded lineup in the Greatest Show Ever at Country Music Hall of Fame this past February.   His appearances include the House of Blues, Regional theaters, Symphonies and private events.
