About:

In January of 2018, a City Winery crew of 125 employees flew south to Puerto Rico to provide relief efforts for local farmers devastated by Hurricane Maria. We arrived with arms full of donated supplies, $160K in relief support, and spread across 5 farms in the mountains outside San Juan to rebuild. We arrived with unknown expectations... what we would see and what we could accomplish. We left with hearts more rejuvenated than we ever could have imagined. Although we made progress, there's still so much work to be done, and we have hope in continuing relief efforts for our brothers and sisters in Puerto Rico until all has been repaired.

Join City Winery Nashville for our first-ever Cheers for Change! Experience the culture we experienced & indulge your senses in our upstairs Lounge with Puerto Rico themed food, live DJ set from Nashville’s own Alanna Royale, featured specialty cocktails & more! Delicious food specials from Executive Chef Donald Counts will include Sorulitos de Maiz, fried plantain chips, and Arroz con Gandules!

About Visit Rico:

Visit Rico, a non-profit organization created in 2014, has the mission to strengthen the agricultural economy in Puerto Rico. For this, we make efforts aimed at supporting the food cycle process, from seed and sowing until it reaches the agricultural market and its consumption.

The initiative includes educational activities, ecological agritourism - to promote health - and the conservation of the environment aimed at tourists, residents, farmer and healthy food enthusiasts. We connect and collaborate with members from the agroecological community in Puerto Rico.
