The Barrel Room restaurant is a rustic and charming space that is steeped in history. Once the original entrance to the mill, the indoor dining room features a dramatic central fireplace that continues to provide welcome warmth to weary travelers.
Our menu is wine-inspired, regionally-influenced, and locally-sourced. City Winery cuisine borrows from Mediterranean history - Italian, French, Spanish and Middle-Eastern cultures that have been pairing great food with wine for centuries. With this in mind, our culinary team has created plates to pair with our extensive wine list that includes our own award-winning wines, proudly produced in-house.
After your meal, take a glass of wine outside to our multi-level, seasonal patio, and enjoy the sights and sounds of the Wallkill River flowing by our vineyard and outdoor amphitheater.
Tasting Room
Our winery is open to the public for wine tasting at our tasting bar, and we also offer a variety of private and semi-private spaces perfect for hosting your own wine tastings, dinners, classes, and other wine events. Contact us to discuss what kind of wine experience we can curate for you, and we'll figure it out together.
Winery
Yes, we are making wine right here on site! Our grapes come from mostly from world-class vineyards out West in California, Oregon, Washington, but we do source some local grapes too. We take our winemaking seriously, learn more here. The space is ideal to rent for a dinner party, social event, or a celebration.
Patio
Join us on one of our two outdoor patios for a delightful meal looking over the historic Montgomery Mills property and the scenic Wallkill River. Enjoy full food and beverage offerings while you dine. Patios are open 4PM to 10PM Wednesdays- Fridays, 12PM to 10PM Saturdays, and 12PM to 9PM on Sundays for Brunch and Dinner.

Private Events
If you want to hold your event in “wine country” without flying 300 of your best friends to Italy or Napa, then we are the perfect venue for you. For over a decade, we have created gorgeous weddings, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, corporate events, and gala fund raisers for 20 to 1000 people in our stylish spaces. We are both a unique modular event space and experienced affordable partner to work with.
