The Barrel Room
In the heart of New York’s picturesque Hudson Valley, inside a renovated old mill that maintains all its rustic charm with modern amenities, City Winery’s Barrel Room Restaurant & Wine Bar is a welcoming space for weary travelers to relax and unwind. Once the original entrance to the former Montgomery Mills, our restaurant is a rustic and charming space steeped in the old mill history with a large central fireplace, rustic hardwood, and exposed brick. Our menu is wine-inspired, globally influenced, and locally sourced, perfect for pairing with City Winery’s own vintages, extensive wine offerings, craft beer and cocktails, and more.
As an essential destination in the Hudson Valley Wine Trail, our menu features over a dozen tap wine options, preserved in stainless steel kegs in a temperature-controlled environment for optimum freshness with every glass. The tap system, developed by City Winery’s Master Winemaker David Lecomte, has been recognized for its “green” approach with no need for bottling, corks, or labels; and therefore, minimal impact on the environment. Our Barrel Room Restaurant and Wine Bar is open for dinner, happy hour, and weekend brunch service. Cheers!
The Patio
City Winery has beautiful outdoor dining on our two patios with gorgeous views of the serene Wallkill River, sprawling vineyard, and spacious amphitheater. Soak up the sun in the warmer months, and in winter, bask in the cozy atmosphere created by our heat lamps and outdoor fireplaces. With full weekend brunch, happy hour, and dinner service, these two multi-level patios are perfect for enjoying al fresco dining, locally-made wines, and creative libations between sweeping grape vines and beneath shimmering string lights.

Borrowing from Mediterranean and Middle-Eastern cultures and traditions that have been pairing wholesome food with wine for centuries, each location's menu features a variety of City Winery signature items, complemented by a selection of locally-sourced, regionally-inspired creations from the local Executive Chef.
