Welcome Back To City Winery!
The Show Must Go On...Just a Bit Differently!
Welcome back to City Winery! To protect the safety of our guests, our performers and our staff, we have established a socially-distanced seating layout in our concert venue. Out of an abundance of caution, and in keeping with official local health guidelines:
We will be continually updating our seating map to adhere to all official guidelines regarding social distance requirements as they evolve. We have reduced the capacity and all seating will be General Admission. In the event that capacity limits change, we will adjust our venue seating to offer additional tickets while maintaining the recommended distance between parties.
We recommend coming to the venue one hour early to enjoy a pre-show dinner in our venue (with contactless ordering and payment!) for the best experience.
All guests are required to complete a contactless temperature check and wellness questionnaire (we take this too) prior to entering our venue. Also, we require all patrons to wear a mask or face covering when entering, moving throughout public areas and while speaking with our staff and other guests. You're welcome to take off your mask at your table.
We are no longer seating unaffiliated parties at the same table. As such, tickets for this show will be sold in quantities of 2 or 4 people. Please select the appropriate group size for you and your companions.
During this most difficult past year, members of the Surabhi Ensemble and Sones de México Ensemble (Juan Díes and Lorena Iñiguez) came together to create new material which looked at the changes rapidly occurring during a time of social justice awareness and global pandemic protocols. This collaborative project titled “Respirando Libre" (Breathing Freely) has led to work with Chicago’s Night Out in the Parks program, the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and the Tourism Department of Huajuapan de León in Oaxaca, Mexico. The combination of Indian, Arabic, flamenco, African and Mixteco music and dance will be highlighted in this special City Winery fundraising live performance to support the collective’s tour to Oaxaca, Mexico in July 2021.
