We are Hitting the Pause Button

November 16, 2020
Dear City Winery Patrons,

Thank you for being a part of the City Winery Boston family. We so appreciate your support over the past several weeks as we attempted to re-open our doors, re-employ some of our team members, and provide a space for you to safely indulge your senses.

Unfortunately, after careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to pause operations again and go into hibernation mode for a few months. This temporary closure of the business is tough, given how well we were doing before the pandemic and is something we do not take lightly.

With the recent, rapid increase of COVID-19 cases, continued business limitations barring us from safely hosting events and concerts, and absence of government funding, we are unable to financially sustain the business unless we make difficult decisions to brace for the winter during this ongoing pandemic.

Our goal is to reopen in the first quarter of 2021 when financial relief through the government hopefully breathes new life into our industry.

In the meantime, take care of yourselves and your communities, and if you are able, please consider supporting City Winery by:

Please note that throughout this pause, we are still accepting private event inquiries, and our team is available to help you plan life’s special moments - safely.

We will continue to communicate with you on our efforts throughout this pause, and we look forward to the day that we can share hopeful news of re-opening.

Peace,
Michael Dorf
