Huggy Bear Da Poet was born and raised in Mobile, Alabama. Known for his gritty, street corner poet persona, Huggy has graced many cultural stages, from the Apache Cafe in Atlanta, to the Nuyorican Cafe in New York City, to the famous Busboys and Poets in Washington DC. He has shared the stage with such greats as Nikki Giovanni, Jesse Jackson, Jill Scott, Fantasia, and Rickey Smiley. Huggy often performs poetry that examines the need for social justice. He writes from the heart and performs from the soul. He uses spoken word to motivate, empower, and even agitate audiences toward social change. His in-your-face style is a catalyst to help listeners examine their hearts and face their personal fears.Huggy is self-published author. Love, Laughter, Heartache and Pain takes readers on a walk through his life’s journey. Themes in this powerful book include political awareness and the struggle of the black family. Huggy Bear is very active in the community and generously volunteers in workshops at churches, schools, and mentoring programs all around the country.

Sheba has six albums of her own, and she is also a two-time NAACP Image Award nominee. Queen Sheba has also published two books: From Foster Care to Fame: Long Story Short and Run Ugly!, a motivational book for runners. Armed with a Master of Arts in Poetry from Queens University, the talented spoken word artist, motivational speaker, and comedian tours internationally and has conducted performances and workshops at over 200 colleges and universities. Queen Sheba has recently become the newest Creative Writing Professor at the historically Black Clark Atlanta University where she teaches Poetry, Storytelling, and Fiction.

Dichotomy finds beauty in diversity. Living at the intersection of art and business, the internationally known poet has conquered the world more than once. By opening himself up to different perspectives, Dichotomy is bringing spoken word to a larger audience than ever before. With a sound that could be classified as rap, if rap focused less on beats and more on moving lyrics, he’s lighting a path of positive change. In 2004 Dichotomy truly found his calling. He got his start with open mic nights and discovered that poetry was a gift that could inspire other people in the same way his heroes had inspired him. From there, the game was on. He would start recording albums, performing for large crowds, and eventually produce and host Aural Fixation, a quarterly poetry event that’s sold out five years running. These accomplishments gave way to even more awards for the Atlanta-based artist. He’s been voted ATL’s hottest poet, won the spot of ATL’s most eligible bachelor and taken the award for GANSPA’s Poet of the Year. To expand his reach, he is bringing Aural Fixation to audiences across the nation on tour.
