Goapele is a multi-talented artist known for her soulful music, entrepreneurship, and activism. With her new album COLOURS, Goapele delivers a deeply introspective, seven-track journey that showcases her evolving artistry. Slated for release this summer on her indie label, Skyblaze Recordings, the album blends sensuality with heartfelt songwriting, creating a mesmerizing atmosphere that captures the emotional depth of her experiences.
A trailblazer since her breakout hit "Closer" in 2001, Goapele has always stood out for her ability to create music that resonates with the soul. She wrote many of COLOURS's tracks during the COVID-19 pandemic, and the album reflects her journey of self-acceptance and trust in her intuition. Collaborating with longtime musicians and producers, including Bedrock and Chris Dave, Goapele weaves personal themes into her songs, like the healing power of time in tracks like “Time Heals” and the emotional honesty in “Enough.”
Beyond music, Goapele is an entrepreneur and philanthropist. As the creator of the Dreamseeker brand, she blends her music with curated candles and apparel, offering fans an immersive sensory experience. Passionate about social justice, Goapele has supported various causes, including prison reform and women's empowerment. With her new album and growing business, Goapele continues to inspire, hoping her work leaves a lasting, positive impact on the world.
